Free Grant Writing Web Training provided by the Region VII Office of Minority Health


The Region VII Office of Minority Health is providing two FREE Web Trainings on Grant Writing. Registration is limited to the first 40 individuals register today!

This FREE 90 minute training will offer attendees an overview of foundation, private, and federal grants to include; the basic structure of grants, development of a budget, timeline, and project evaluation.
This training will be conducted in an interactive format that includes opportunities for questions throughout the 90 minute training.

This FREE 90 minute training will offer attendees instruction in technical writing and will cover: grant editing and proofing, strengthening of the abstract for greater impact, and an overview of logic models. 


This training will be conducted in an interactive format that includes opportunities for questions throughout the 90 minute training.


Instructor - Jay Blackwell

Biography
Jay Blackwell works for the Office of Minority Health Resource Center (OMHRC) in Rockville, MD as the Director of the Capacity Building Division.

He holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Arts in Agency Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. He has extensive experience in non-profit management, community outreach strategies and social marketing.

A North Carolina native, Mr. Blackwell resides in Washington, D.C. He travels extensively throughout the United States providing Technical Assistance workshops, training seminars and capacity building interventions to organizations, state health departments and governmental grantees. His primary focus over the last five years has been with assisting communities and local stakeholders increase their professional collaborations and networking through local, regional and national venues.
