Environmental workforce Development and Job Training Guidelines

 

The FY2012 Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training Grant Request for Proposals is now available and US EPA Headquarters is hosting outreach webinars called "CLU-IN" seminars.

Thursday, March 8, 2012   1:00pm – 3:00pm CST

Friday, March 16, 2012     1:00pm – 3:00pm CST

 

These seminars will provide an overview of the Fiscal Year 2012 Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training Grant application guidelines for prospective applicants. The seminar will include a description of the history of the program, eligible use of funds, threshold and ranking evaluation criteria, as well as helpful hints for submitting a strong proposal. Time will also be allotted for questions and answers.

The Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grant program provides funds to eligible entities, including non-profit organizations, to deliver environmental workforce development and job training programs that recruit, train, and place local, unemployed and under-employed residents with the skills needed to secure full-time employment in the environmental field, with a focus on solid and hazardous waste remediation, environmental health and safety, and wastewater-related training. Applicants may request a maximum of $200,000 over a three year project period.

The deadline for submission of proposals to EPA under this competitive opportunity is April 12, 2012.
