Dear Troost Alliance:

I'm excited about the 8th annual Troost Festival Celebration, scheduled for Saturday April 28th from Noon to 10 PM. "Growing a village" is the vision behind the festival theme and in that spirit we call upon all the energies that create the sustainable, diverse, community-centered village that we want to raise on Troost Avenue.

How does your group fit into this vision? There are many ways to participate in the festival and we welcome all that want to help us "Grow a Village"on Troost. Some possibilities include:

  • Setting up an information table about your project. What resources do you have that could connect festival attendees with village making values? (*See list of values below)
  • Hosting a workshop, demonstration, or show and tell - is there a skill or value that can be shared with others to cultivate the climate for a sustainable and peaceful village?
  • Performance Art and Activities- we are looking for artists to help us visualize our village. Is there an artist demonstration or creative activity that can be performed?

In addition to this we also have an entertainment stage for musical performers and space for local businesses to participate as vendors.

If any of these possibilities interest you, please get in touch with me to confirm your interest in participating in the festival. Attached is the vendor and exhibitor form needed for confirmation. Be sure to let us know if you need to rent a table and two chairs for $10!

Thank you for all that you do and hope to see you Troost Festival!
