Summary:
Part-time (19.5 hours per week or less - some evenings and Saturdays required) responsible for providing user support with various computer tasks, as well as facilitate digital literacy online courses through MCC Blackboard. This is a limited duration position.
Minimum Qualifications:
>AA Degree.
>One (1) year of work related computer experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
>Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
>Ability to be sensitive to diverse populations and an understanding of issues facing persons with disabilities.
>Ability to multitask and remain calm in a hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
>Must be able to lift and carry up to 39 pounds.
>Should have knowledge and ability to use computer word processing, access internet for research and emails, use of other classroom technology (projector, smart board, computer, copy machine, etc.).
>Must have valid driver's license and be able to move between campus locations (if required).
Compensation:
$12.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Hours:
Work schedule will typically fall between Monday - Friday 8:00am to 9:00pm and some Saturdays may be required. Approximately 19.5 hours per week, with hours varied based on department needs; cannot exceed 1000 hours per fiscal year.
