Last week President Obama signed an Executive Order creating an Initiative on Educational Excellence for African American Students. The objective of this initiative is to improve the level of educational achievement of all African American students, promote equitable access and opportunity and help to ensure that all African American students receive an education that properly prepares them for college, productive careers, and satisfying lives.
