The Kansas Volunteer Commission is excited to announce its new 2013 Volunteer Generation Fund Mini-Grant Series!!

The Volunteer Generation Fund will increase the number of people who serve in meaningful roles as volunteers dedicated to addressing important needs in communities across Kansas.  As more Kansans are finding themselves in need of assistance, more Kansans are also stepping forward to accept the challenge to make a difference.  The Kansas Volunteer Commission will provide mini-grant funds available under the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to engage Kansans in meaningful volunteer opportunities.  The KVC will provide grants to projects under one of the following priority areas:

  • Service-learning initiatives
  • Engaging adult volunteers in K-12 education
  • Leveraging pro bono and/or skilled volunteers
  • Volunteer engagement projects

The Kansas Volunteer Commission (KVC) will make available up to $30,000 in mini-grants. The Commission expects to award grants of approximately $1,000 (minimum) to $5,000 (maximum).
