Women of Color & Allies Saturday, November 10th 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM Wichita State University, Ahlberg Hall Room 201 Cost $15.00 w/lunch & snacks,   Free if no lunch ordered Celebrate the Diversity That Exists Within Feminism Feminism is an issue that affects everyone, no matter one's gender, race, ethnicity, or orientation. However, all too often, the face of feminism is represented as a cisgender white woman. This year, the Kansas National Organization for Women is challenging that notion. We will be celebrating the diversity that exists within feminism at our Annual Conference titled Woman of Color and Allies. Here, we will hear several women of color share their perspectives of feminism in relation to issues such as abortion, economic justice, health, and government. Kansas NOW is proud to be co-sponsoring this event along with Wichita State University's FOCUS. Pamela Merritt Pamela also known in the blogging community as the "Angry Black Bitch" will provide commentary and lead a discussion about the movie "Trust Black Women".  Engage with Pamela as she sets about debunking the myth of "Black Genocide & Abortion".  Various Panelists... Panel discussions covering health matters that disproportionately impact communities of color, and women of color in government.  Panelists to include Representatives from local and state government and representatives from local health organizations.  Lazone Grays In his role as President of IBSA, Inc.,  Lazone has fought for policies of economic justice for women and minorities.  Described as a "policy engineer" by the African American activist community, Lazone will speak about women of color and economic justice.     Register Today Stay Connected        www.ksnow.org
