Celebrate the Diversity That Exists Within Feminism
Feminism is an issue that affects everyone, no matter one's gender, race, ethnicity, or orientation. However, all too often, the face of feminism is represented as a cisgender white woman. This year, the Kansas National Organization for Women is challenging that notion. We will be celebrating the diversity that exists within feminism at our Annual Conference titled Woman of Color and Allies. Here, we will hear several women of color share their perspectives of feminism in relation to issues such as abortion, economic justice, health, and government. Kansas NOW is proud to be co-sponsoring this event along with Wichita State University's FOCUS.
